intimate rowan oak wedding // nashville wedding photographer

Nicole and Chand's intimate Rowan Oak wedding was easily one of my favorite weddings I documented in 2016. After starting to plan an "average" wedding, these two quickly realized it wasn't for them so they decided to gather their immediate families for a low-key December wedding at Rowan Oak in Oxford, MS followed by dinner at their art-gallery-turned-home, cooked by the newlyweds themselves. It was simple, sweet, genuine... basically I wish I could photograph this type of wedding every weekend. No fuss, no frills, just love love love followed by oysters and champagne and more love.

This is how Paige described her and Carter in her initial email to me, and after meeting them... man did she hit the nail on the head. Then she said she'd be getting married in a red dress AND that they're getting married in an old-theater-turned-swanky-restaurant?! OH HELLS YES. SIGN ME UP GIRL. SO glad they decided to put their trust in me. Here's a few of my favorite from their engagement session in & around the Gulch in downtown Nashville.
P.S. sorry the songs a little sappy for such a happy session, but I couldn't *not* use a Jason Isbell song since Paige and I also share an obsession with him.
